About the Role

Reporting directly to the Talent, Capability and Employee Experience (TCEE) Manager, you will lead and implement the organisational strategies that positively transform and enrich our organisational culture in the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) space. Working closely with key stakeholders internally and externally, a key focus of the role will be to provide expert advice to the organisation on the integration of employee D&I dimensions into policies, plans, strategies and programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the new D&I Strategy, Action Plans and supporting Policy as a subset of the City’s People & Culture Strategy
• Oversee the delivery of D&I calendar, training and events
• Maintain a current working knowledge of government initiatives and priorities, relevant research and theoretical paradigms that underpin best practice
• Partner with the Centres of Excellence to equip and enable senior leaders with the tools to deliver on Diversity & Inclusion Action Plans & KPIs
• Measure the ROI of P&C initiatives. Execute activities effectively to achieve each initiative ensuring Quality, Timelines & Cost are optimised. Measure and monitor P&C analytics and utilise them to optimise the P&C agenda

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in

• A relevant degree qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development or similar field with relevant experience or qualifications/experience in another field or lessor formal qualifications with extensive and diverse experience in Diversity & Inclusion.
• Demonstrated knowledge and capacity to develop, lead and implement evidence-based workforce diversity and inclusion initiatives based on social trends and analytical data.
• Highly developed understanding of social justice and inclusion principles with the ability to produce high level strategic plans & policies
• A passion for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for employees, with the ability to work under pressure against changing demands and priorities
• Demonstrated successful experience in partnering with senior stakeholders to drive transformational change and achieve business objectives through the People agenda
