City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health Practitioner who is passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Communities (Indigenous) health and self motivated to enhance Indigenous people's health and wellbeing within the Goldfields Region.
This role will also be going to provide you with an opportunity to liaise with our diverse and vibrant community in the region through education, compliance and enforcement. The successful applicant will have the ability to communicate effectively, a strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and willingness to work in a constructive team environment.
Joining the Environmental Health team, you will undertake a proactive and innovative role in educating the Indigenous communities to address environmental health issues in accordance with Local, State and Federal laws governing public health and environmental matters.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent as a minimum requirement, however additional certificates, competencies and working experience with Indigenous Communities will be highly regarded.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills are essential to perform well in this role, as is a great attitude and strong work ethic.
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder complies with all State Government Health directives related to COVID-19 mandatory vaccination of critical workers in WA. It is a requirement for the successful applicant to be double dose vaccinated and provide evidence of vaccination status prior to offer of employment.

Total Package
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position ranges between $83,917 - $88,310 plus superannuation and private use of a vehicle.
