The Opportunity

Bring your current industry experience and knowledge in Community Services and join our team of teachers in this diverse role at Gosford and Wyong campuses in North Region.

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes. Be part of an organization that makes a difference to people’s lives.

About you

You are passionate about sharing your extensive industry experience in Community Service. You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor students, passing on your experience and knowledge, and you have demonstrated experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment.

You have the drive and ability to interact with a diverse range of students. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to share information with your peers and students face to face, and when required, via virtual learning platforms.

You are a great team player who strives for success in all aspects of your day-to-day activities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Recognised Degree in social science, social work, community development or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of three years post-qualification in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously

One of the qualifications below:

TAE 40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor,


TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, plus the following units:
Adult language, literacy and numeracy skills - TAELLN401A or TAELLN411 (or its successor), and Design and develop assessment tools - TAEASS502A, TAEASS502B, or TAEASS502 (or its successor)


a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education

Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
