Applications are invited for the position of Administration Officer, Clerk 5/6, based in the Regional North and West School Performance Directorate, Executive Director’s Unit, Gateshead office.
This is a permanent full-time engagement. The Flexible Work Arrangements for Corporate Employees Policy is available for the successful applicant for this position.

About the role
This role provides high level and administrative support to senior officers within the Regional North and West School Performance Directorate, to ensure that the policies and initiatives are supported in a targeted, timely and effective manner.
In the delivery of this support, the role plays a leading role in teams/units in handling internal and/or external customer enquiries to ensure a high level of customer service.
In the implementation of programs and projects within the assigned business unit, the role works as a team member and would not normally supervise staff.

Key knowledge and experience
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
You will be autonomous and self-driven as well as a strong team member, with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to time manage.
You thrive in a fast paced environment and value the ability to provide ongoing administration support whilst always striving to improve processes
