This dynamic and challenging position is responsible for undertaking repairs, maintenance and servicing on Council's diverse fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment (both mechanical and electrical). You will have the opportunity to work both autonomously and will be responsible for planning and scheduling required works. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of a team and have the support of a team environment.
There are two positions one based in Dubbo and one based in Wellington however you will have the opportunity to work across the whole local government area out on location at Council's project based worksites.
Council would welcome applications from apprentices nearing completion of the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualification.

You are a motivated and skilled individual who enjoys new challenges and workplace variety. You have demonstrated experience in successfully maintaining a variety of vehicles, plant and equipment. You possess sound communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with different levels of the organisation.

Salary: $59,655-$69,329 per annum plus superannuation and industry allowances
