As a Senior Transport Engineer, you’ll not only will you have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects which will broaden your skill set but you will also act as a mentor and leader to your colleagues.

You will have experience in assessing all aspects of the planning and delivery of road safety, traffic management and car park projects with the ability to effectively communicate the requirements of council to contractors and clients.

You will also be responsible for asset management responsibilities of Council’s parking and traffic assets including commercial car parks, pay and display car parks, off-street parking and speed and volume database. Additionally you will coordinate and undertake investigations and make operational management recommendations whilst assisting with internal referrals.

To be successful you will possess significant experience in Transport Engineering in conjunction with well-developed program scheduling skills in planning and organising the workload of the Unit.

Additionally you will have demonstrated leadership and staff management experience including the ability to guide, support and deliver on all transport, traffic and parking projects and strong financial and budgeting skills.
