We have two permanent full time Statutory Planner positions where you will be responsible for assessing and processing planning applications having regard to relevant Council policy and planning scheme provisions, mediating between applicants and objectors, providing advice and information on planning applications, planning scheme requirements and Council policies to the public and planning applicants and preparing accurate written correspondence on planning related matters.

The successful candidate will have:

• A tertiary qualification in town planning or a related field
• A current drivers licence
• Demonstrated experience in a planning environment with the ability to interpret the Planning and Environment Act
• A co-operative attitude, great interpersonal skills and the ability to positively contribute to a cohesive team.
