How you'll make a difference

We’re seeking an Engineer to join our engineering team and deliver high quality engineering assessments and advice in relation to the development and maintenance of municipal infrastructure.

Your expertise will ensure that a high level of customer service satisfaction is achieved through the provision of development engineering and general engineering services. Your professionalism and conscientiousness will contribute to Council’s aim of being a high performing, customer-focused organisation. To achieve success you will need to be multi-skilled, outcome focussed and passionate about innovation and technology.

As part of our team you will have the opportunity to

  • Contribute to the delivery of development engineering services to ensure that appropriate development is encouraged and that Council’s infrastructure is developed to appropriate industry standards.
  • Deliver services in compliance with relevant legislation, and in a way which provides best value to Council and the community.
  • Provide technical engineering advice, to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate

  • Your professionalism will enhance Council’s reputation as a responsive and efficient organization. 
  • A degree in civil engineering or lesser formal qualifications with work skills and significant relevant experience.
  • Experience working with municipal infrastructure.
  • Experience working in land development and with the Local Government Infrastructure Design Manual.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Has a strong and proactive customer service focus.
  • Be a collaborator and an effective communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
