POSITION OVERVIEW

Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care. Ward 7B is a busy 32 bed ward offering inpatient care to patients with complex medical conditions, such as eating disorder, toxicology, and delirium. The core priorities of this position are to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of the Medical Services and the Division of Medicine and coordinate education and promote a learning culture within the ward 7B.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum 3yrs post registration experience.
  • Have an understanding of how the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) indicators align with this role.
  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in alignment to the CHS Exceptional Care Framework, Clinical Governance Framework, Partnering With Consumers Framework and all other related frameworks.

Prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

  • Obtain a Compliance Certificate from OMU (Occupational Medicine Unit) relating to assessment, screening & vaccination processes against specified infectious diseases.
  • Undergo a pre-employment Police check
  • Provide current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
