About the Opportunity

Based at the Dalby, you will be responsible for actively providing capable support to the many users of Council's core business. The Business Systems Support Team, in conjunction with this role, ensures successful user acceptance testing, system patching and continuing upgrades. The role needs to be executed with a high attention to detail with an experienced individual passionate about delivering work in an accurate and efficient manner.

Reporting to the Business Systems Team Leader, you will:

  • capture business and functional requirements from all stakeholders;
  • provide clear design documentation outlining functional requirements, technical descriptions, process mapping and test scripts;
  • liaise with external stakeholders to seek advice for improvements and upgrades; and
  • provide innovative support and technical assistance to clients. 

About yourself

The successful applicant will have:

  • Bachelors or Post-Graduate degree in Business Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology / Systems or equivalent relevant experience;
  • a certification in ITIL v3 Foundation and Prince2 Foundation;
  • CBAP – Certified Business Analysis Professional
  • demonstrated problem-solving abilities;
  • five (5) years relevant technical or systems experience and strong record in improving service delivery;
  • experience in a process improvement, quality management and process development.
  • solid MS Excel, MS Visio, data analysis and SQL skills;
  • strong process mapping and procedure writing skills;
