About the Opportunity

Based in Miles, you will be responsible for assisting Council's Utilities team with water and sewerage maintenance works.

Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, you will:

  • operate various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in construction and maintenance works;
  • undertake a range of labouring duties including traffic control as required;
  • have awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements; and
  • be prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical.

About yourself

The successful applicant will:

  • have a OH & S Construction White Card and current C Class Drivers Licence;
  • have an understanding and experience in various aspects of utilities maintenance works;
  • be physically fit and enjoy manual labour; and
  • possess good time management skills and the capability to complete allocated tasks while working within a team.

It is strongly recommended that applicants are fully vaccinated (received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine recognised by the Therapeutic Goods Administration or as determined by Queensland Health (Public Health Direction)). You agree that you will comply with Council's COVID-19 Vaccination - Organisational Policy.
