City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. About the Role
Suit marketing professional with excellent digital marketing skills and a passion for producing creative, customer-focused content that delivers results.
Deliver marketing plans and original, creative content for a variety of audiences and channels for our festivals, arts, events, destination and visitor attraction and economic development programs.
Marketing communications, content creation, promotional activity, organic and paid digital campaigns for festivals, events and arts programs including St Kilda Festival, St Kilda Film Festival, Live Music initiatives, Council’s economic and social recovery support campaigns, and more. Work to tight deadlines in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders and demands.
This is a part time role 3 days per week until March 2023
Develop, deliver and implement creative marketing communications strategies and activity plans, to promote key Council programs and initiatives
Coordinate, develop and deliver marketing initiatives across promotional channels such as print programs, advertising, collateral, signage, email marketing, social media and websites
Provide sound marketing advice and recommendations for marketing activity that maximises effectiveness and efficiency in delivering on objectives and priorities
Deliver content creation, copywriting and coordinate messages to mailing lists and online audiences
Manage external service providers including publicity, content, design and web agencies, as required
Skills and Experience
Relevant marketing experience, preferably with experience in the arts, tourism, events, film or music industries
Marketing and communications planning and implementation, including campaign performance monitoring and analysis
Writing, editing and content creation across all marketing communication channels and for a wide range of audiences, including industry, businesses and the general public
Relevant business experience operating a range of marketing communication channels including social media, email marketing and website content management systems
Creative ideas generation, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly
Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and manage multiple competing demands, working to tight deadlines in a busy environment with multiple stakeholders
Experience in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and video content development (filming and basic editing) would be highly regarded
