About the Role

Opportunity for a motivated property professional to develop their property management skills in an exciting and diverse portfolio compromised of town halls, community centres and neighbourhood houses, childcare centres, libraries, car parks, community gardens, sports pavilions, lifesaving clubs, art galleries, theatres and a number of commercially leased buildings that include restaurants and kiosks. The role supports delivery of a full scope of property management responsibilities, including leasing and licensing, maintenance requests and laneway discontinuance and sales.


  • Assist in the proactive management of the annual program of leasing and licencing renewals by developing new agreements that support individual service.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the property portfolio including debtor control, lease compliance, rent reviews, insurance compliance, routine inspections, tenant management, and the coordination of Landlord consents for new agreements, maintenance, events, alterations and additions.
  • Assist with discontinuance and sale of laneways in accordance with Council discontinuance policy.
  • Provide accurate and timely property advice especially relating to leasing and licensing for commercial, community and sporting groups.  

Skills and Experience 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in a property related field
  • Experience in applying statutory requirements for the leasing and licensing of property and the discontinuance and sale of laneways
  • Experience working in complex property portfolio in property management and/or a leasing environment is highly desirable
  • Proactive approach with ability to learn on the job
