About the Role 

A School Administrative Officer provides administrative, financial and student welfare/wellbeing support and assistance in relation to office and classroom activities, including but not limited to the following school settings: the office, sick bay, library, science laboratory, and food technology/kitchen areas.

Essential Requirements
 

  • Working with Children Check Clearance
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to undertake First Aid training.
  • Administration of Medications – training to be provided based on student needs.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Administration skills including a knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with teachers and students.
  • Ability to perform tasks in one or more of the following areas: office procedures; accounting procedures; sick bay; hospitality and /or design and technology; science.

Conditions

From 8 November 2021 all Department of Education employees undertaking relevant work, including any work conducted on a NSW school site, will be required to meet mandatory double vaccination requirements against COVID-19.

The successful candidate for this position will be required to meet mandatory double vaccination requirements prior to the Department of Education finalising the appointment of the candidate and entry on duty.

Mainsbridge School is a new purpose built school in Warwick Farm and is a part of the Liverpool Network of schools.  Our school caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and complex health conditions.

We have 21 learning spaces on the new campus increasing our student enrolments to approximately 127. Eighty–six per cent of students access the Assisted School Transport Program (ASTP).

The school population consists of 94% Language Background Other Than English (LBOTE) with the most common languages being Arabic and Vietnamese. Approximately seventy staff work at Mainsbridge on a daily basis.
