ABOUT THE ROLE
TAFE NSW are seeking two (2) Permanent Teachers of Transport and Logistics to join the team at the Forbes Campus. The role will require you to travel locally and regionally to deliver from other locations, such as Parkes and Moree, and off-site workplace training.
The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners in the delivery of short and customised courses and enhances the student learning experience.
As a professional educator you will skill the workforce of tomorrow by constructing and guiding the educative process with a mixture of workshop, classroom, and on-site location specific delivery.
In the role, you will use your industry experience in transport and logistics to impart your knowledge to deliver face-to-face educational programs and facilitate practical learning, whilst building an approachable rapport to enable students to achieve their desired outcomes.

ABOUT YOU
To succeed in the role, you can maintain your professionalism whilst building an approachable and instant rapport with your cohort of students. In keeping pace with rapidly emerging skills, you will apply your specialist knowledge in chain of responsibility, supply chain, warehousing, transport and logistics, and work health and safety practices, in your day-to-day delivery whilst remaining highly flexible and adaptable to training demands.
You will be committed to keeping industry relevant and current to ensure your students are prepared to meet the demands of this engaging industry. You have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with stakeholders including colleagues, industry, and students.
Your adaptive approach and responsiveness to changing industry skills needs and providing learners with quality training that meets their needs is fundamental to the role.
To be successful in this role you must:
Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a commitment to maintain technical industry currency in any discipline.
Hold the Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations TLI30321 (logistics or warehousing), equivalent or higher qualification.
Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
Have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years relevant, and post-qualification, experience in the transport or construction industry relevant to your qualification/s. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
It is highly desirable that you have a Work, Health and Safety qualification and/or rail and road transport experience, however this is not essential.
