About the Opportunity
We are looking for qualified and experienced people who want to be part of our face-to-face team as Part Time Casual Teachers in one or more Higher School Certificate (HSC) subjects:
English (all levels from Standard to Extension 2)
History - Modern and Ancient
Humanities subjects (including Business Studies, Legal Studies, CAFS
Mathematics (all levels from Standard to Extension 2)
Sciences - (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Investigating Science, Earth and
Environment Science)
PDHPE
Students who study Higher School Certificate at TAFE may:
About you
You have demonstrated experience in teaching students from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, ranging from 15-30 years of age. You will have general administration and competent computer skills to be able to manage your own administration associated with attendance, assessment, and delivery.
You are a passionate individual who thrives on supporting and mentoring a diverse group of students. You have the ability to adapt your facilitation style to meet your students’ needs and deliver in a clear concise manner.
To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrated ability in the following Essential Requirements:
Degree, with at least two (2) years coursework in relevant Higher School Certificate subjects.
Minimum three (3) years current and relevant teaching experience to Year 12 (HSC) level in English, Humanities or Mathematics and Science subject areas.
Commitment and ability to facilitate learning in an adult environment and demonstrated organisational skills applicable to an educational setting.
Be prepared to continue to develop knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate ability in all the Essential Requirements in the Position Description below with the exception of Essential Requirement 3.
