About the position

Council is seeking an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse to provide direct support and clinical care to persons with a disability. This position will:

  • Undertake assessment implementation and evaluation of clinical care of clients
  • Supervise staff clinical practice in line with best practice and Orana living policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate safe and effective clinical care for clients meeting their individual needs.
  • Maintain links with pharmacy ensuring accurate delivery of medications and pharmaceutical products.
  • Ensure ordering and delivery of incontinence and health products in a timely and proficient manner
  • Ensure compliance with medical officers directions and all prescribed treatments
  • Liaise and communicate with client medical officers including local medical officers, specialists and health networks to gain maximum health outcomes for clients
  • Consult and liaise with families and or client representatives to ensure effective and positive outcomes for all clients
  • Document all relevant health outcomes and complete bi annual health summaries
  • Participate and assist with the audit system ensuring direction and assessment to meet current NDIS practice standards
  • Be actively involved in promoting a positive work environment for staff  by providing appropriate communication and mentoring

Salary: Negotiable - based on qualifications and experience
