The role

As the Water Industry is an essential service,  this is an opportunity to step into a career pathway that will always be in demand.

This Fixed Term appointment (12 months) will train you in many foundational aspects of Water Operations, preparing you to continue an industry career path.

You'll provide assistance in the operation, planned and unplanned maintenance of Council's water treatment plants

  • Assist with routine water treatment plant & water storage dam inspections and operation
  • Implement water quality monitoring and testing
  • Assist in the operation, control and maintenance of treatment plants and distribution networks
  • Assist in the repair of plant, equipment and system components
  • Be available for on call, call back and after hours duties if required

The package: Commencing salary package circa $63,430 (including allowances) p.a. plus superannuation. 

Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located at Bootawa Water Treatment Plant. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Full Time Fixed Term (12 months)
