Job Description

Bellevue Park State School has an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team in the role of Head of Department - Student Services with a focus on Positive Education and Transitions. The successful candidate will lead our Positive Behaviour for Learning team, support and monitor student behaviour within the school, support our Early Years/Prep transition processes and community partnerships, and drive improvements in pedagogical practices in our early years classrooms.

About the Role

As Head of Department - Student Services, you will be responsible for:

  • ELC Pedagogical Partnerships
  • Support with the Prep 2023 enrolment process
  • Manage classroom observations for classroom teachers
  • Engage in Leaning Walk and Talks
  • Lead PLTs referring to Case Management students
  • Implement the Tell It Again program in Y1
  • Train TAs in Tell It Again and upskill teachers
  • Data tracking of student development and progress
  • Lead the EAL/D program
  • Lead PBL team
  • Manage tier 1 & 2 behaviours
  • Proactive behaviour programs
  • Supporting beginning teachers
  • Monitor and action student attendance
