Details: Legislation, Policy and Programs is seeking applications for an experienced Senior Legal Policy Officer. The successful applicant will provide leadership and manage an extensive work program, prepare high quality reports, briefs, submissions and correspondence for the Minister for Human Rights on the complex and technical legal policy issue of Voluntary Assisted Dying and develop and promote positive relationships with key stakeholders. The success applicant will require excellent legal research and analytical skills, a detailed understanding of government processes and high order communication, stakeholder engagement, organisational and collaboration skills.

Eligibility/Requirements
A degree in Laws of an Australian tertiary institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which, in the opinion of the Director-General, is appropriate to the duties of the office.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of up to six months.
