Mullaway Primary School is a coastal community school located 30 kilometres north of Coffs Harbour. The school has a Family Occupation and Education Index (FOEI) of 74 and an enrolment of 266 students, of which 20% are Aboriginal.

The Gumbaynggirr people are the traditional custodians of the land and Mullaway Primary School has a partnership with the local Elders and promotes the Gumbaynggirr culture and langauge within the school.

Selection Criteria

  • Approval to teach infants and primary with a demonstrated capacity to engage all students and deliver high quality differentiated teaching and learning programs in literacy and numeracy.
  • Demonstrated evidence to implement technology to support quality teaching and engaged learning. 
  • Demonstrated evidence of implementing whole school programs in Public Speaking, Debating and/or Music. 
  • Exceptional teamwork, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills which build positive partnerships within the school and the wider community.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
