About the role
As the Coordinator - Children's Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of MacDonnell Regional Councils Children Services programs in allocated remote Aboriginal communities to ensure the provision of high-quality Early Childhood Education and Care programs for children aged from birth to school age.
This position will be based in our Alice Springs Office, which is the regional headquarters to councils' 13 remote communities and outstation locations.
About you
Our successful candidate will ideally hold a Bachelor's degree in education - Early Childhood or higher, a current NT Driver's license, ochre card or the ability to obtain one, a current First Aid certificate including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma components or the ability to obtain and at least 5 years' experience working in Early Childhood including experience supervising and training other staff. The desired skills for a successful candidate would be a strong commitment to the value of Early Childhood education, a passion to advocate on behalf of children and the ability to lead, motivate and mentor team members to foster independence and increase local ownership of the service.
