We are seeking an engaging individual who is enthusiastic about providing exceptional customer service and enjoys creating a positive experience for their customers by making it their goal to exceed expectations.

About the Role

This casual role will provide additional support within our Libraries and Customer Experience team and be responsible for attending to and resolving customer enquiries as the first point of contact at Council. The role will also encompass cashiering duties, library program support and visitor information services, ensuring that not only are our community supported through the provision of high-quality services, but visitors to our region are also actively engaged.

The role will work across Council’s libraries (including outreach locations) and will report to the Coordinator Libraries and Customer Experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in providing excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of Council and library services and the role they play in supporting the community
  • Library, Community or Office Administration qualifications would be highly regarded.
  • A solution-based mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work ethic, with an ability to maintain diplomacy and professionalism with a customer service focus.
  • A current Working with Children Check
