Brunswick Street and Chinatown Malls are vibrant shopping and entertainment hubs in Fortitude Valley. Brisbane City Council’s recent upgrade has supported the growth of Fortitude Valley and includes improved lighting, way-finding signage, dining and entertainment areas as well as new public art. We are focused on providing a range of events and services in the Valley Mall that highlights our vibrant, creative city.
Chinatown Mall hosts the popular Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations. This enables the community to celebrate through displays of rich cultural heritage and colourful festivities including lion dancers, firecrackers, traditional music and cultural performances.
The Events and Activations Coordinator’s role focuses on promoting, developing and supporting initiatives to enhance the Valley Malls precinct as an attraction to visitors, residents and tenants.

This role will undertake event production and presents a fantastic opportunity to use your event production skills to promote the Valley Malls at their most vibrant and creative. To ensure the success of this role, some weekend work will be required.
