About the Position
The Senior Assessment Engineer position in Water and Waste is a key part of the Development Services Team which manages the assessment of development applications.
The Senior Assessment Engineer is primarily responsible for reviewing and authorising internal referral memos in accordance with the Planning Act 2016 and deciding Connection Applications in accordance with the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring) Act 2009. Water and Waste is an internal referral involved in the assessment of development applications and provides advice on water supply, sewerage and solid waste management. The team also supervises the construction of developer contributed water supply and sewerage assets including trunk infrastructure.

Working in development assessment is challenging and requires compliance with strict legislative timeframes and assessment rules. To be effective in this position, you will need to be a strong delegator and be able to manage changing priorities.
