Salary from $127,641 plus 9.5% Superannuation

How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne…
A senior role that is both strategic and very hands on, working closely with the Director, CityLab and branch leadership to help the organisation deliver strategic transformation. The Strategic Design Lead is specifically responsible for leading and managing the delivery of key projects, including a new ten-year Community Vision for the City of Melbourne. The Strategic Design Lead also provides people leadership to the Senior Strategic Designer and Strategic Designer.
Working collaboratively with a range of teams across City of Melbourne, you will take a “knowledge transfer” approach to help accelerate and embed new ways of working across the organisation. Design leadership, project management and relationship and stakeholder management are core capabilities of this role.
A proven leader of strategic design projects and teams with a record of empowering, developing and motivating staff, the successful candidate will also be an excellent communicator with extraordinary political nous to achieve success within a complex organisation and project team with diverse skillsets.
