About the Opportunity

The Restorations Officer is responsible for managing the end to end process of utility restorations and road opening permits including revenue generation from these works. This role assists in the delivery of Roads Asset Maintenance and Renewal Works, ensuring a strong customer focus. You will be liaising with stakeholders including trades, Council Contractors and our Finance team across this role whilst also inspecting, measuring and preparing quotations for all utility restoration works.

The successful applicant will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related technical field or management or relevant work experience
  • Experience in Roads, Footpaths and Stormwater drainage construction and maintenance work
  • Experience in preparing civil work estimates
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated commitment to EEO and WHS Principles and knowledge of WHS and WorkCover legislation
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Class C driver licence.

Salary: Employment is in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award. This position is placed in Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $1,523.23 to $1,751.72 per week, plus superannuation.

The commencement salary will depend upon the successful applicant's qualifications, experience and competencies.

Conditions of Employment: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.

This position will be located at Council's Auburn Depot, with occasional travel required across Council worksites.
