Located in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs, Knox City Council is seeking a Coordinator to lead the direction of the Specialised Community Access Team to provide a high quality and timely access to services for residents that identify as vulnerable, with a disability and carer, and/or identify as part of our more diverse communities.

The Coordinator Specialised Community Access will work collaboratively and in partnership across Council teams, to support the development and implementation of Council’s plans including a role in planning, advocacy, coordination and action to enhance access and inclusion for people that are vulnerable, have a disability or have diverse needs.

You're able to effectively navigate leading a broad team and promote positive engagement to ensure exceptional service is provided. You will enjoy the benefits of working amongst a team of dedicated professionals who come from diverse backgrounds and experience.

Applicants must have:

  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high performing teams and fostering positive engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated substantial experience in social science, case management or related field.
  • Highly developed skills in customer service, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and continuous improvement.


  • Annual Salary ranges between $98,781 and $110,786 (Band 7) depending on qualifications and experience.
