The Opportunity

A great opportunity for a professional and customer focused Business Support Officer is available within our Strategy and Planning Directorate.

Reporting directly to the Manager City Futures, this position will assist with project, event and function delivery, provide administrative support to the Manager City Futures and Manager Community and Corporate Planning, and their teams, respond to general enquiries and assist with database management.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the research, preparation and compilation of basic reports, correspondence, meeting agendas.
• Prepare correspondence and provide meeting support, including coordination of Department and Leadership meeting cycles.
• Utilise communication and marketing tools to promote Department projects, programs and activities to ensure public awareness, including web-based applications.
• Support the Department to meet corporate reporting and update requirements such as: Trim records responses; InfoCouncil; tracking ‘Resolutions of Council’; Report Planner; Council Plan and Weekly CEO Updates.

Skills & Experience

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and be highly organised, proactive and innovative;
• Certificate IV in Business Administration will be regarded as highly desirable; and
• Proven time management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks and organise work activities to manage ongoing requests for action on information from customers.
