About the Role

In this role you will be working in the Community Inclusion team and you will work with existing internal programs and staff to implement and capture relief and recovery initiatives at the City. This may include collecting data, producing reports and developing resources and programs that empower others to implement relief and recovery initiatives in the wider community. You will be required to attend and contribute to various networks, managing stakeholders and assisting with all aspects of, knowledge sharing, grant applications and reporting associated with relief and recovery efforts.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in the Social Sciences, Community Development or a related field, which focus on community development, or substantial relevant experience in a similar field.
  • Develop, support and mobilise appropriate networks of community members and agencies to foster the sharing of skills, information and knowledge toward collaborating on the delivery of community inclusion projects.
  • Experience in policy implementation, planning or research in a relevant discipline
  • Project management experience including the planning, stakeholder management, implementation and evaluation of new initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills including persuasive oral and written skills
  • Ability to analyse community needs and adapt to diverse and changing role requirements.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills to engage, negotiate, facilitate and liaise with community, stakeholders and colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • A current employee Working with Children check.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working in local government human service delivery would be advantageous.
