Director - Municipal Services

This position is responsible for ensuring all Council’s municipal services are met and for managing the day to day activities of Council staff, including Environmental Health, By-Laws and compliance functions that enhance and protect the environment and community through delivery of high quality and compliance processes.

Knowledge of Local Government Operations, functions and legislation in relation to the department will be highly regarded.

Key Selection Criteria

• Demonstrated 5 years in essential services plus experience in environmental health, by-laws and compliance
• Demonstrate high level of leadership, people’s skills and proven ability to lead a team of employees.
• Preferable tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health, Applied Science (Environmental Health) or related field.
• Demonstrate working experience in remote communities
• Current driver’s license.
