Statewide Services Division is seeking to appoint a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Administration Assistant, providing administrative support to the School Psychology Service.
This Administrative Assistant role will require the support of team members responsible for the increased availability of Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention workshops and Youth Mental Health First Aid training throughout the State. Proficiency in the use of the Department’s Professional Learning and Information System (PLIS), including event entry, surveys and data extraction and the ability to work supportively with the School Psychology Service team to establish consistent processes and practices for the smooth operation of these workshops is desirable.
As the Administrative Assistant you will assist with financial, procurement and human resources responsibilities, including booking travel and accommodation, procuring resources, reconciling credit card expenditure, checking certification reports and invoices and monitoring expenditure.
In this role you will have demonstrated ability to utilise the Microsoft Office suite of products to produce and maintain documents and communications that are of high quality, innovative and dynamic in order to support the delivery of outcomes. You will respond to telephone and email enquiries to ensure support for clients and colleagues is executed thoroughly and in a timely manner. Your ability to be flexible in your approach to work is essential in being an effective member of the team.
Statewide Services Division is responsible for the delivery of integrated state wide services for networks, schools and teachers that support the learning and achievement of every student. This is achieved through a focus on better integration of services with schools, students, families and external service providers; supporting schools and networks of schools to deliver high quality teaching and learning in every classroom; and creating expanded opportunities for students to develop the academic, personal and social competencies they will need to participate in the future workforce and society.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our branch for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
