Job Description

Laura State School are seeking applications for the position of Principal. This is a PERMANENT, full time role commencing 2021. As the Principal you will deliver the vision of the department, improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools, develop the quality of teaching and learning, while nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders. Our preferred applicant will be resourceful, resilient and self-motivated. Living in Laura
Laura is a small town and locality in Cook Shire, Cape York Peninsula in northern Queensland, Australia. It is on the only road north towards the tip of the peninsula, and is the centre for the largest collection of prehistoric rock art in the world. It is located approximately 310 km north west of Cairns and 1,992 km north of Brisbane.

A mandatory requirement of this role is:

  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. 
  • Teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.
