TAFE Queensland, South West region, plays a vital role in the economy and communities of over one-third of regional Queensland, servicing communities at locations including Ipswich, Inala, Borallon, and Springfield in the east, Toowoomba, Dalby, Warwick, Chinchilla, Stanthorpe, Kingaroy, and Cherbourg, to Roma in the west. We provide education and training solutions to individuals and businesses across the resources, agricultural, and construction industries, through health care, community services, creative, hospitality, education, and business.

The Borallon Training and Correctional Centre is a dedicated training facility for adult male students who are committed to the opportunities that education and training can offer to build a stable and rewarding career and future.
Our educators operate in a correctional setting, training recidivists face to face in our fully equipped contemporary workshops and, complying with the centre's security procedures. The centre is located 15 minutes west of Ipswich.

Salary: $56,118 – $93,190* per annum;
Casual Teacher rate is $75.79* per hour (day);
Casual Tutor rate is $34.81* per hour (day).
* Rates current as of 1 September 2020.
Employment Status: Positions may be casual or temporary. The duration of these positions will be dependent on work demands and the availability of ongoing funding and/or student enrolments.
