LOCATION PROFILE
Running south from Cairns to Cardwell is a magical strip of coastline known as the Cassowary Coast, one of FNQ's hidden gems! Bordered by the Wet Tropics Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, this is a stunning place to call home.
Weekends are for adventure, and you'll find plenty of opportunities to explore your backyard without having to travel too far. There are islands for camping and hiking, and beaches for an extra dose of vitamin sea. Ask a local for their recommendation, grab a picnic and hit the road.
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS
All Queensland State Schools are allocated a transfer rating which is determined by the remoteness or distance of the location from a major city and services. While the base salary range for teachers is the same across the state; rural, remote and even regional locations provide additional financial benefits and incentives that are above and beyond the base salary.
Schools in the Innisfail to Tully area are transfer rating 3 locations and attract locality allowance on top of your base salary. CLICK HERE for a summary of the incentives and benefits available to teachers in this location.
