About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Manager to join us. This role requires excellent communication skills, high-level organisational skills and the ability to lead a team.

In this role, you will be:

• Responsible for customer service in cluster divisions
• Responsible for divisional administration in cluster divisions
• Responsible for communication between community, stakeholders, the elected arm of Council and the Executive Team of Council
• Able to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team through ongoing performance appraisal and liaise with People & Wellbeing with regards to identified performance needs

To be considered for this position you must have:

• Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant nationally recognised qualification
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
• Desirable C Class open licence (operate a manual vehicle)
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strict adherence to confidentiality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to be culturally responsive by demonstrating an understanding of the issues affecting Torres Strait Islander people and communicating with sensitivity and effectiveness
• Possession of a Blue Card or eligible to obtain a Blue Card Working with Children
